Zur Drossel sprach der Fink: "Komm mit, liebe Drossel, komm' eilig, komm' flink! Heut' tanzen die Blumen im moosglatten Wald, Komm' mit, liebe Drossel, komm' eilig, komm' bald! Wir setzen uns auf die Aeste, Und [musiziren]1 zum Feste, Und schauen zu, wie sie tanzen, von fern-- Ich habe die Blumen so gern!" Da flogen zum Walde die zwei; Wie flogen sie eilig um Walde, juchhei! "Frisch auf!" rief der Fink, als die Blumen er sah; "So tanzet nun, Drossel und Fink sind da!" Und Fink und Drossel singen, Die Blumen [hold sich umschlingen]2, Und tanzen froh über Thal und Höhn-- Wie tanzten die Blumen so schön! Und als der Tanz nun aus, Da flogen der Fink und die Drossel nach Haus, Die Blumen [auch]3 schlossen die Kelchblätter zu, Und [gingen nach fröhlichem Tanze zur]4 Ruh'. El pinsà digué al tord: "Vine amb mi estimat tord, vine de pressa! Avui les flors dansen en el pla molsós del bosc, vine amb mi, estimat tord, vine aviat!". "Seurem a les branques i farem música per a la festa i veurem com ballen, de lluny, m'agraden tant les flors!". Així, tots dos volaren cap al bosc i com anaren de pressa, visca! "Som-hi" cridà el pinsà quan veié les flors: "balleu ara, el tord i el pinsà són aquí!". I el pinsà i el tord canten, les flors en rotllana s'entrellacen i, damunt valls i tossals, ballen joioses. Què bé que dansen les flors! I quan s'acaba la dansa, el pinsà i el tord tornen a casa; les flors tanquen els calzes i reposen, després d'un dia joiós. Quan el pinsà i el tord s'acomiaden, de tot cor satisfets, de lluny, crida encara l'alegre pinsà: "M'agraden tant les flors!"
