Når eit hjarte er i sorg og gøymer smerta si frå verda, og blør i einsemd og forgår i stille tåreflaum, då: ei inderleg bøn om å sleppe fri frå leda. Då kjem ein engel ned og løfter den opp til himmelen. Ja, kjem det ned ein engel til meg, med skinande venger, løfter han mi sjel bort frå all smerte opp til himmelen.
