A la vermellenca resplendor fugiré amb ella, ens protegirà la llança i aquesta cuirassa d’acer. Vinga, estimades armes, usades sovint com a joc, defenseu ara la meva fortuna en aquest nou camí! Prest em llanço a les ones, saludo la magnífica cursa, ja més d’un ha anat al fons, però el brau nedador resta a flor d’aigua. Ah, quin goig de vessar la noble sang! Per protegir la joia, el meu bé més preciós! No haver de patir l’escarni, a qui li manca el coratge? Deixa anar la brida, nit benaurada!
