Draußen im weiten Krieg ist blieben mein armer Schatz, draußen im fremden Land, da liegt er kalt und blaß. Läg ich doch bei ihm im Grab in der fremden Erd! Was tu ich hier allein am einsamen Herd? Stiller Mond, der in mein Fenster scheint, hat schon jemand so um seinen Schatz geweint?
