Du armes, armes Vögelein, da liegst du stumm und kalt, kannst nicht mehr fliegen durch den Hain, wo sonst dein Lied erschallt'. Der Winter ist ein harter Mann, der nicht erbarmet sich, du hast ihm nichts zu Leid gethan, getödtet hat er dich; Wir aber hielten stets dich werth, du warst so lieb, so brav, ein weiches Bett sei dir die Erd', und süss dein Todesschlaf.
