Spring
Language: English
Hark! 'tis a song of joy! The spring has returned to earth; The woods are a hazy, coral cloud, And violets come to birth; And the brooks awake at last, Swift to the call of Spring; The wandering birds have heard her voice, And glad is the song they sing. "Joy! For 'tis Life that calls!" Spirit of Love! Winged as the wind, Be thou my messenger: speed to my Dear: Sing of the sunshine that glows in my heart, Tell her of life, And the spring of the year; Bid her respond like the birds and the flow'rs; For I send her my heart, By the fleet footed hours; my heart. O Life and Light! The quickening sun has wooed and won, And love's begun! Hark! 'Tis a song of joy! Flow'r of my life awake. The whole world thrills to the call of Love, Dear heart, awake! Unfold to love! Unfold to life! Rejoice! For 'tis love that calls!
