Der Mondenstrahl fiel in der Lilie Tau. Und weckte den Elfen, der sanft darin schlief; Mit den Flügelchen zart und libellenblau Flog der Luftige fort und athmete tief. Er blies in sein silbernes Wunderhorn, Da erschloss sich die Rose mit mächtigem Trieb, Draus schwang sich behend über Blätter und Dorn Sein ährenblondes, sein süßes Lieb. Sie küssten sich lüstern, und flüsterten drein Und trieben viel wonnigen Liebesscherz, — Ich aber stand düster, und starrte darein Und fühlte verlassen das liebende Herz.
