Abendglockenklang tönt die Flur entlang, ladet freundlich ein zum Rasten von des Tages Lust und Lasten. Sonne sinkt hinab in ihr gold'nes Grab. Trillernd ihre letzten Lieder schwebt zum Nest die Lerche nieder. Horch, die Nachtigall hebt den süßen Schall. Lust hat nun genug geklungen, Leid hat nun genug gerungen.
