Wohl mir, um mich her ist Schweigen
    Auf der Flur.
Zu dem vollen Herzen nur
Will nicht Ruh' sich neigen.

Horch! die Nacht schwebt durch die Räume,
Ihr Gewand durchrauscht die Bäume
    Lispelnd leis'.
Ach! so schweifen liebeheiß
Meine Wünsch' und Träume.
