Durch des Lebens dunkle Ferne Reicht die Freundschaft ihm die Hand, Hin zu jenem bessern Sterne, In sein neues Vaterland. Wo in sanfter Abendstille Lieb' und Ruhe hold vereint, Durch des Frühlings Blütenfülle Lächelnd ihm entgegen scheint.
