Lilienblüthe! Mädchen schön und zart! Gott behüte Deines Lebens Fahrt! Ach, es muß geschieden sein, Und für alle Liebe Dein Hat das scheidekranke Herz ein letztes Wort allein: Danke! Sterne droben! Goldne Himmelslust! Mild erhoben Habt ihr mir die Brust. Als des Glückes Frucht mir schwoll, Daß sie golden glänzen soll, Gosset ihr das blanke Gold herab so wonnevoll! Danke! Hoffnung, süße! Mild von deinem Wehn Scheidegrüße Athmen Wiedersehn. Hoffnung, aller Schmerzen Ruh'! Meine Seele hältst ja Du Wie der Stab die Ranke! Singend ruft mein Herz Dir zu: Danke!
