Im Walde geh ich wohlgemut, Mir graut vor Räubern nicht; Ein liebend Herz ist all mein Gut, Das sucht kein Bösewicht. Was rauscht, was raschelt durch den Busch? Ein Mörder, der mir droht? Mein Liebchen kommt gesprungen, husch! Und herzt mich fast zu Tod.
