Zur weißen Gans sprach einst vertraulich eine graue: "Laß uns spazieren geh'n nach jener grünen Aue, Dort tun wir beide uns im jungen Grase gütlich, Denn in Gesellschaft [gackt es sich doch gar]1 gemütlich." "Nein!" sprach die weiße Gans, "Da muß ich refusieren, Mit meinesgleichen nur geh' ich am Tag spazieren; Vertraulichkeit mit dir gereichte mir zur Schande, Zwar bin ich eine Gans, doch eine Gans von Stande!"
