In der spiegelnden Fluth, im Schnee der Alpen, In des sinkenden Tages [Goldgewölken]1, Im Gefilde der Sterne stralt dein Bildniß, Adelaide! Abendlüftchen im zarten Laube flüstern, Silberglöckchen des Mais im Grase säuseln, Wellen rauschen und Nachtigallen flöten: Adelaide!
