Quand nous étions ensemble, Alors chantait le rossignol; Maintenant son chant veille sur moi Alors que tu m'as quittée. Aussi souvent que luit la lune, Je ne pense qu'à toi Mon coeur est clair et pur - Que Dieu veuille nous réunir. Depuis que tu m'as quittée, Le rossignol chante toujours; Quand j'entends son chant je pense Comment nous étions ensemble. Que Dieu veuille nous réunir! Ici je file si seule.
